Attending the Ron Fellows Performance Corvette Driving School in 2019 with my father was an experience that I will always treasure. Not only did I have the opportunity to bond with my 70-year-old dad, but I also got to experience the thrill of driving one of the most iconic American sports cars – the Chevrolet Corvette.

From the moment we arrived at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada, we could sense the passion that the staff had for the Corvette. As enthusiasts, my father and I felt right at home. We were greeted warmly by the staff and given a brief overview of the program before being assigned to a group of other students and introduced to our instructors for the day.

    The Corvette Driving School Instructors

The instructors were all highly experienced and professional drivers, with a wealth of knowledge and passion for the Corvette. They were eager to share their skills with us and truly wanted us to succeed. We began the day with classroom instruction where we learned about the various aspects of high-performance driving, including vehicle dynamics, braking, and cornering techniques. We also learned about the rich history of the Corvette and how it has evolved over the years to become the incredible machine that it is today. My father, being a car enthusiast, found this part of the program particularly interesting.

After the classroom instruction, we were taken out to the track to put our new knowledge into practice. The 2.2-mile road course was designed to challenge and push our driving abilities to the limit. We were given a variety of different exercises, including slalom, skid pad, and high-speed braking, to help us develop our driving skills. My father and I had a blast trying out these exercises and we both learned a lot from the experience.

Highlights From the Corvette Driving School

The highlight of the 2019 program for both my father and me was the opportunity to drive the new C7 Corvette. This car is an absolute beast, and it was an incredible experience to push it to its limits on the track. The car’s handling and power were truly impressive, and it was a lot of fun to drive. My father and I took turns behind the wheel, and we both agreed that it was an unforgettable experience.

Throughout the day, the instructors provided us with feedback and coaching and they were always available to answer any questions that we had. They were patient and understanding, and they truly wanted us to succeed. My father and I both appreciated their guidance and the knowledge they shared with us.

    A Conclusion for Corvette Enthusiasts

The Ron Fellows Performance Corvette Driving School is not just for Corvette enthusiasts but for anyone who wants to learn how to drive better, push their limits, and have a lot of fun doing it. The school offers different levels of programs and different classes of cars to drive, so you can find the right one that fits you.

Attending the Ron Fellows Performance Corvette Driving School with my father was a bonding experience that I will always treasure. It was a great way for my father and me to connect on a new level and share a mutual passion for high-performance driving and the iconic Chevrolet Corvette. The experience was unforgettable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their driving skills and have an exciting time doing it.
