There’s no denying that the Corvette C7 Grand Sport is one of the greatest sports cars of all time. Whether you’re a fan of Corvette or not, there’s no question that this car represents the very peak of automotive performance and design. A big reason why this car stands out from other sports cars on the market today is its racing heritage, which has allowed GM designers to pack in an impressive number of performance-oriented features into such a sleek-looking automobile. These are 10 interesting facts you might not know about Corvette C7 Grand Sport that you should probably know before considering buying one yourself!

    1) The Corvette Grand Sport is a track-focused car.

The Corvette Grand Sport is a track-focused car. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph. The vehicle comes with a seven-speed manual transmission with no automatic option and rear-wheel drive only. The steering wheel has three different driving modes: Touring, which is for long trips; Weather, for changing road conditions; and Track, for going fast on the track.

    2) It’s named after a 1960s racing program.

The Corvette C7 Grand Sport is named after a 1960s racing program, though it’s not the first to bear that name. It was first used for a 1963 Corvette model, and then again for 1967. The GM Performance Division wanted to revive the name for this new model as a tribute to its heritage, and also because of Grand Sports’ success in racing. The word Grand in French means big or great. The word sport means active physical exercise or participation in sports or games.

    3) The first modern Grand Sport was introduced in 1996.

The first modern Grand Sport was introduced in 1996. The 1996 Corvette featured a 454-cubic-inch (7,480 cc) engine that produced 315 horsepower and 365 lb·ft (495 N·m) of torque. It also had a six-speed manual gearbox, four-wheel independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission. The 1996 model has been called by many enthusiasts one of the best Corvettes ever made.

    4) The current generation Grand Sport was introduced in 2017.

The current generation Grand Sport was introduced in 2017. The car is not just a pretty face; it also offers drivers plenty of horsepower and a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds.
The car made its debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, with production beginning in December 2016. The 2019 model year also brings new colors to the lineup, including Torch Red, Velocity Yellow Tintcoat, Black Metallic Tintcoat, White Diamond Tricoat, and Blade Silver Metallic Tintcoat.

    5) It’s powered by a 6.2L V8 engine.

The Corvette C7, also known as the Grand Sport, is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable of producing 460 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual or an optional seven-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission with Active Rev Matching for smooth and precise downshifting and upshifting.

    6) It has a seven-speed manual transmission.

The Corvette C7 comes with a seven-speed manual transmission, which is designed to have a more driver-focused feel. The car also has an eight-speed automatic gearbox for those who prefer it. There are three available engine configurations, and there’s no shortage of tech features:
    Apple CarPlay compatibility

    7) It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

The C7 Grand Sport can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, making it one of the quickest and most powerful production cars on the market today. The car is also eco-friendly, with a start/stop system that conserves fuel by shutting down when not in use to reduce emissions.
These are just two of many interesting facts about this sleek, modern car.

    8) It has a top speed of 185 mph.

The Corvette C7 Grand Sport has a top speed of 185 mph and an acceleration time of 3.8 seconds to 60 mph. It has a six-speed manual transmission and is available in coupe or convertible form. 9) It starts at $66,445.
